Teacher's appreciation day - Big Thanks to your teacher on April 5!!
This Friday, 4/5 is the teacher appreciation day. Please thank your children's teachers for spending so much time preparing each week's lessons, grading homework and exams, and instilling a little bit of Chinese culture and language into their lives each week.
Give her a round of applause or a thank you card since without their time and effort; we would not have the Chinese school that we have today. Gift-giving is totally optional
2013/2014 Registration Information
Registration packet will be sent home with your kid on 4/12. Registration for current students and siblings will be held on 4/19 and 4/26.
Open enrollment for new students in all grades, will be held on 5/3 and 5/17. If your friends or relatives are interested to enroll in BVCS for the next school year,
please forward our school's website to them.

中國夏令營
由中國國務院僑務辦公室、山東省僑務辦公室主辦的「中國尋根之旅海外華裔青少年夏令營」，
7 月 28 日至 8 月 6
日前往青島、濟南及北京等地進行文化學習、著名景點參訪。青島報到，北京散團，團費及報名費 $300
，不含國際機票。
報名資格為
14-18歲，有一定中文基礎並有生活自理能力的海外華裔青少年。詳情：請洽

Mandarin private lesson in summer
BVCS wants to encourage students to keep up their Chinese language skills over the summer months. If you are interested in one-on-one Mandarin lesson during the summer, contact office for details.

Despite strong competitions, Leilah L. 雷尚燕 from our 4B Class won the Honorable Mention of Western Painting category at the contest. Big Congratulations to her!
海華文教基金會獎學金
北加州中文學校聯合會為鼓勵表揚就讀多年，勤學有恆，成績優良，並對中文學校各項課外活動的參與有卓越表現之學生們，特頒發海華文教基金會獎學金，並藉以提高華裔青年對中華語文之瞭解及興趣。該獎學金是由海華文教基金會所贊助。詳細申請辦法資料請參考申請通知書。敬請家長鼓勵同學踴躍報名申請。
