Pre-Registration Ends this Friday
There are new students who are planning to attend our school. To set up our classes for next year, we need to know how many students to plan for at each grade level. New students will begin to enroll for the 2013-14 school year from May 3.

We need registration form back from every family who will return to BVCS in the fall. If you plan on returning you must return the form by THIS FRIDAY!

Effective Friday, May 3. Space for all classes will be on a first-come, first-served basis by walk-ins. For more inquiries, please contact school office.

BVCS Food Drive Coming 5/17
Many in our community go hungry on a daily basis - Approximately 1 in 6 of our Contra Costa neighbors (mostly children and seniors) can't afford the food they need. With this in mind, we join hands with the Contra Costa Food Bank for a Food Drive, so we at Bay Valley Chinese School can give back to our local community.

On 5/17, be sure to bring in non-perishable (non-glass) items that can be shared with those in greater need. We have 3 barrels to fill, let's make them overflow! More details to be advised.

Relay For Life
The American Cancer Society Relay for Life is a community gathering that allows everyone to join the fight against cancer. Teams of people camp out at night and take turns walking or running around the track.

This year Relay for Life will be held on June 29, 2013, Saturday 12:00pm, at James Logan High school in Union City, CA.
BVCS encourage you to get involved in one or more ways:

Attention BVCS High School Students!
To encourage youth participation, American Cancer Society will award the community service hours: 40 hours awarded to team captain and 20 hours awarded to each team member. On top of RFL community service hours' award, BVCS will give an additional 20 community service hours to team captain and 10 hours to each team member.
