Dear Bay Valley Chinese School Families,
As you may be aware, there has been a horrific event at an elementary school in Connecticut last Friday. Our thoughts and prayers are with all families involved.
At this time I would like to reiterate that safety is always a top priority at the Bay Valley Chinese School. We continue to work very closely with the Danville Police Departments to ensure safe campus and the surrounding area. These efforts include both prevention and response strategies, with a high priority on effective communication during an emergency.
The best strategies, however, involve the awareness and alertness of students, staff members and parents. I wish to re-emphasize the importance of notifying the school/police if you see or hear of any suspicious activity. Students are encouraged to talk to an adult on campus if they are concerned about school safety.

The Association of Northern California Chinese Schools (ANCCS) hosts this Chinese Lunar New Year Poster Design Contest to celebrate the Lunar Chinese New Year.
The deadline is January 13. Contest form is available at office (Room 100).
