Dear Students and Parents,

Greetings! We are excited to begin the new school year at Bay Valley Chinese School (BVCS)! On behalf of all the faculty and staff, I extend a heartfelt welcome to all of you. We are thrilled to have you join us in launching and promoting the education of Chinese language and culture overseas in an environment rich with motivation, love and fun.

At BVCS, we strive to create a platform that nurtures the learning and teaching of Chinese language and culture in a welcoming and supportive atmosphere. With the support and trust of our parents, and the ongoing growth of our dedicated teachers, we work together to cultivate exceptional talents at BVCS. Go BVCS!

7. 退課退費 Withdrawal and Tuition Refund
   8/23/2024為退費申請截止日。退費支票將會在二至四週後寄出。有關退費規定, 請 參考下方列表。
   Please refer to the table below for the withdrawal and tuition refund schedule.
   
   Withdrawal/Refund Policy: Submit a written request for withdrawal: either (1) in person to BVCS office during our school hours, or (2) via email to bvcsreg@gmail.com. Please include student name, class in 2024-2025, address and parent's name. Refund checks will be issued in four weeks after the first day of the school.    Activity Department: Seeking Parent Volunteers
   We are seeking enthusiastic parent volunteers to assist with various tasks, including event setup, supervision, and coordination. Whether you can spare a few hours or more, your participation would greatly benefit our students and help create a vibrant and engaging environment. Join us in enhancing the joy of learning by contributing to various school activities. These events offer a special opportunity for parents and children to create lasting memories together.    訓導處: 徵求灣谷校園巡守隊「一月及二月份的月隊長」! 為校園安全把關, 灣谷的孩子需要您! 灣谷中文學校是一個由義工所組成的非營利組織, 有家長的積極參與, 才能順利推動校務。 「家長校園巡守隊」的任務包括: 指揮交通, 巡邏 校園, 下課休息期間, 為不小心受傷的孩子 擦擦 藥。「月隊長」負責協調, 帶領並管理校園巡守 隊。 請聯繫訓導主任 蔣國恩: fchiang@outlook.com

   
   Student Affairs Department: Seeking Volunteers to be Yard Duty Leads for January & February!
   We need your help to secure campus safety! Please sign up to be our Monthly Yard Duty Leads! This is one of the most rewarding jobs. You can help with BVCS and become an integral part of the school security team by enforcing safety for all the kids and adults. We are the team that directs traffic, ensures safety for the entire campus between 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m., manages all emergency drills, and places band-aids on your kids when they fall during break time.
   
   Your responsibilities are to coordinate, manage, & lead all facets of security for the entire month you sign up for. Please get in touch with Frank Chiang @ fchiang@outlook.com for any additional questions/information.

   學區規定在校期間不用手機和電子用品, 必須放在背 包內, 同時保持靜音。 如不遵守, 就沒收, 放學後請和家長 一起來取回。 違反規定者, 可能導致漸進的紀律後果。 如 果在校期間需要聯絡家長或監護人, 可以到辦公室請求 幫助。

   BVCS adopts the policy of San Ramon Valley Unified School District (SRVUSD) on prohibiting the use of cell phones and other electronic devices at school. We believe that this policy will contribute to a more productive and less distracting environment for our students. During school hours, cell phones and other electronic devices should not be used, heard, or seen. This includes during class, school activities, and recess. Students should keep their phones turned off and secured in their backpacks, and they should not have them out anywhere else until the end of the day. If a phone is visible or audible at any point, it will be taken and held for a parent to pick up after school. Repeat violations may result in progressive disciplinary consequences. If a student needs to contact a parent or guardian during school hours, he or she may come to the office in Room A101 for help.
