👉Mid-Autumn Special Treat at Blackhawk Museum ─ 9/30 Free Admission
On September 30, the Blackhawk Museum in Danville will host its first-ever Mid-Autumn Asian Cultural Festival from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. While you could immerse into the captivating celebration of Mid-Autumn with multicultural performances, you will also have free admission to the museum and experience 5000 years of Chinese history in the "INTO CHINA GALLERY."

There were many wonderful performances on the day, including: Japanese Taiko drums, Chinese folk dances, Chinese Kung Fu, face-changing stunts, erhu, pipa, guzheng performances, Indian traditional dances, Philippine bamboo pole dances, violins, Western band performances...etc. There are many restaurants in the shopping mall next to the Black Hawk Museum, offering a variety of delicious dishes. "Dumpling Time", a favorite among Chinese, will have a stall on site. There will also be a Poki food truck. Parking is free. 👉👉Annual Orientation Day for Student Docent Cultural Ambassador Program – 10/7 last day to reserve a spot
Student Docent Cultural Ambassador Program (SDCAP) is a youth program held at the San Jose Chinese American Historical Museum (aka the Ng Shing Gung Museum). The Annual Chinese History and Cultural Relics Exhibition is in its 11th year and getting ready for the opening of the Special Asian Exhibit.
If you are interested in becoming a museum gallery guide, please come to the Annual Orientation Day for the Student Docent Cultural Ambassador Program, which will take place on October 14, 2023.
