Room Parent Orientation — This Friday
We warmly invite all room parents to join the Administrative Team for an orientation meeting this Friday. Time, location, and agenda are listed in the poster below.
Whether you volunteered, were nominated, or appointed by teachers, you served as the vital link between fellow parents and the school, helping bring to life Principal Shirley Lin’s vision:
"Led by Students! Inspired by Families!"
As "parents of the class", you serve both as guardians of our students and as valued partners to our teachers. In recognition of your service, room parents are excused from yard duty for the school year. Let's give the 2025-26 Room Parents a warm welcome!

- 交通安全小提醒 Traffic Safety Reminder for Parents
為了守護學生與社區的安全，需要大家一起配合，敬請家長遵守以下駕駛守則：
- 放慢車速 — 在校園周邊道路請減速行駛，務必保持安全車速。
- 行人優先 — 行人完全走出斑馬線後，車輛才能繼續前進或駛離。
- 勿邊開車邊用手機 — 行車途中請勿滑手機或講電話，違者屬違法行為。

The safety of our students and community relies on all of us observing traffic laws and practicing caution when driving near campus. We respectfully remind all parents to:
- Slow Down — Maintain a safe, discretionary speed in school zones and surrounding residential areas.
- Stop for Pedestrians — Drivers are legally required to remain stopped until the pedestrian has completely exited the crosswalk.
- No Phones While Driving — It is against the law to hold or manipulate a cell phone in any way while operating a vehicle.
Your cooperation in following these important rules ensures a safe environment for all children, families, and staff.

【美麗的寶島】國慶繪畫比賽
【Formosa – Beautiful Island】Drawing Contest
【宗 旨】: 北加州中文學校聯合會謹訂於中華民國114年9-10月舉辦國慶繪畫比賽，鼓勵發揚僑民創作力與愛國心，以推展中華民國雙十國慶在地的認同感，及增加海外僑胞的凝聚力及愛國情操，並團結支持中華民國。
【美麗的寶島】國慶繪畫比賽:
學生可以把台灣有關的風土民情，或台灣的美麗風景為題材，舉凡：跟父母回台灣看到印象深刻的美麗風景等等為主題，同學們可以挑選他們在台灣參加過印象最深的活動來作畫，記錄精彩的風土民情與風景。
【Purpose】
ANCCS will hold a National Day Drawing Contest in September–October, 2025. The contest encourages creativity and patriotism among overseas Chinese, promotes recognition of Taiwan’s Double Tenth National Day, strengthens unity, and fosters a spirit of national pride and support for the Republic of China.
【 Formosa – Beautiful Island】 Drawing Contest:
Students are invited to use Taiwan-related themes, such as its rich culture, traditions, or beautiful scenery. Examples include memorable landscapes seen while visiting Taiwan with family, or unique activities and cultural experiences that left a strong impression. Through their drawings, students can capture and share the beauty of Taiwan’s people, culture, and environment.

2025 北加州中文學校聯合會 學生志工服務獎
ANCCS Student Volunteer Service Award
主辦單位 | Organizer 在加州州眾議員李天明（Alex Lee）辦公室的支持下，「北加州中文學校聯合會」（ANCCS）於 2025 年創立了 ANCCS 學生志工服務獎（SVSA），以彌補「總統志工服務獎」停辦後所留下的空缺。
這項由本地推行的獎勵計畫，旨在表彰在連續 12 個月內展現傑出公民參與精神及服務熱忱的學生志工與無給職助教。
With the support of the Office of California State Assemblymember Alex Lee, the Association of Northern California Chinese Schools (ANCCS) launched the ANCCS Student Volunteer Service Award (SVSA) in 2025 to fill the void left by the suspension of the President’s Volunteer Service Award.
This locally administered program recognizes student volunteers and unpaid teaching assistants who have demonstrated exemplary civic engagement and community service over a continuous 12-month period. The Award honors individuals who exhibit a sustained and meaningful commitment to making a positive impact in their communities.
