Spooktacular Halloween Parade This Friday!
Boo to you! Get ready for a spooky good time?
BVCS Halloween Parade will take place this Friday, on campus at 7:30 pm.
We hope that everyone can come to join the Halloween fun and cheer on our costumed kiddos as they parade through the courtyard.
To help make this celebration both safe and joyful, please review the following guidelines and reminders for students and parents.
Guidelines
- Costumes should be school-appropriate and considerate of our younger
students.
- No dangerous or inappropriate props, such as knives, swords, weapon
look-alikes, blood, gore, toy guns, etc. are allowed.
- Masks as part of the costume must properly fit so that your child can
clearly see out of the eye holes and move safely. Teachers out of concern
may ask students to adjust or remove their masks, if necessary.
- Inflatable costumes are permitted as long as they are safe for walking and
visibility.
- Teachers and staff have the discretion to temporarily seize any
inappropriate costume items and place them in the office. Parents may
pick these items up after school.
- Participation is voluntary. If your family does not celebrate Halloween,
please communicate with your child’s teacher. Students may opt out of this
activity or wear simple festive attire instead for the evening.
For Students
- Students are encouraged to wear their favorite costumes whether they are
cute, funny, or creative!
- Students will arrive at school with their costumes on and their hair and
makeup done at home.
- If students need to change into costume at school right before the parade, please notify your teacher in advance for assistance.
For Parents
- Families are warmly welcome to attend the parade. Come watch, take
pictures, and enjoy the festivity.
- Upon drop off your children at their classroom doors, parents should exit
the school building. This will allow students and teachers space to get our
celebration ready.
- Parents and guests will gather in the Parent Zone and line up behind the
"Parent Boundary Line" to watch the parade and take photos.
- Our school photographers will capture memorable moments at Photo
Zones 1 and 2 and share the photos with families on our school eNews.
- Parents are invited to share their favorite snapshots with their
room-parents who will select 5 to submit for our school eNews.
Parade Route
- Classes begin as usual at 7:00 pm sharp.
- At 7:30, when the bell rings, teachers and teaching assistants will line up
students in the hallway.
- Classes will parade according to the map above, starting with upper
grades.
- Led by their teachers and teaching assistants, each class will take one lap
around the courtyard and the hallway in a clockwise loop, stopping at two
photo zones and collecting candies near Rooms A101 and A102.

- Group A (4A-7/8th grade): Enter the parade/exit the building at the blue dot and follow the purple arrows and join the orange arrows.
